National CASA Convention- Dallas Teague Snider in D.C. “I Am for the Child”
Dallas joined many state directors, local program directors and volunteer advocates around the country for the Annual CASA Convention held in Washington to talk about the state of the organization and the plight of our abused and neglected children. Facing a substantial budget crisis, it is now time that we as a nation understand that we can make a difference for some of our most vulnerable citizens, our children.
CASA is embracing the movement “I Am for the Child” with the goal to see that every child has a CASA advocate to be their voice in court by the year 2020. This means there is much work to be done. If you are reading this blog, contact your state CASA office and find out how you can join the movement. Regardless of your situation, you can be a part of the solution. We need you. Our children need you. Every child has the right to a safe and permanent home.
